Finance is a drag but this book is an easy read with some surprisingly humorous anecdotes. There could be a little more practical application of some of the formulas in the body of the text as opposed to the darn footnotes! Otherwise a good choice for the financial novice.

This is one of the recommended textbook for the Financial Management course at GWU. The book is very well written, structured and a must read textbook to understand finance. I will be keeping this book for the future reference. The professor who was assigned to this course didn't do a good job but going through this textbook was more then sufficient to understand the financial concepts. I had this book in my MBA Finance I class and it was an excellent text, and still refer to it today in my other Finance classes.

The book provides a good introduction to financial concepts. It clearly exlains, in a progressive fashion, the concepts that form the basis of financial analysis and pricing.
It would be a great book if it was slighly less expensive.
